Jubilee celebrations by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community UK
The Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II is being celebrated in 2022 in the UK to mark the 70th anniversary of the accession of the Queen to the throne in 1952.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community have also been celebrating the Jubilee at different mosques across the UK. Fifty four branches of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community held Jubilee parties in England, Scotland and Wales. Around 6,300 people from the local communities attended these events held at local mosques. Some highlight are shown below:
The Baitul Futuh mosque in Morden was lit up in celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
As was the Fazl Mosque in Southfields.
Jubilee parties held in London
In Gillingham a Jubilee celebration was held at the Nasir Mosque on 4th June with 95 local residents.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Cardiff arranged a dinner for the local community at the Baitur Raheem mosque on 5 June.
In Birmingham a Jubilee Dinner was held at the Baitul Ghafoor Mosque with 66 local residents.
On 2nd June 15 guests from the local community joined members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community at the Darul Amaan mosque in Manchester for dinner. The Mosque displayed a banner stating “Congratulations Your Majesty !”
On the evening of Sunday 5th June, the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations were held at Scunthorpe’s Baitus Salam mosque.
Neighbours from the adjoining streets were invited in person for afternoon tea.
Also, on 5th June Ahmadi Muslims in Leicester invited 30 neighbours to the at Baitul Ikram Mosque for an evening meal.
In Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community held a Jubilee celebration at the Baitul Tauhid Mosque.
In Glasgow outside the Baitur Rehman Mosque, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community distributed prepared meals to the local community to mark the Queen’s Jubliee.
