Ladies from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association (AMA) in Leeds took part in the “Cheap and easy” cooking campaign, which was launched last year-by the AMA UK to tackle food poverty during the current COVID-19 pandemic. In March 2021 the women prepared and donated 25 meals to a homeless charity in Leeds.
The men from the AMA Leeds, (not being wished to be outdone by the ladies!) also decided to make a donation to the Humanity First Food Bank for the homeless, which is in Mirfield, West Yorkshire. A large variety of tinned food, cereals, dried food, pasta and baby items were purchased and donated.
