The Royal British Legion co-hosts an appreciation event at the Baitul Futuh Mosque, London.

The Charity Walk for Peace (CWFP) was founded in 1985 by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association (AMEA) UK (an auxiliary organisation of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community), with aims to relieve the suffering of the poor and to promote peace, understanding, and goodwill amongst people from all walks of life. A distinctive feature of the CWFP is that all of its organisers are unpaid volunteers.

Over the years, the CWFP has raised and donated over £6.2 million to people in need, partnering with over 595 UK based charities.

In 2021 the walk was hosted in the local town of Morden, home to the Baitul Futuh Mosque.

Following the successful walk, one of the partner charities, the Royal British Legion on 2nd March 2022, co-hosted a special volunteers appreciation event at the Baitul Futuh Mosque. This was to show gratitude to the CWFP volunteers, who raised over £690,000 for the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal fundraising campaign in 2021.

205 volunteers of the CWFP were honoured by certificates which were presented to them by the Royal British Legion, in recognition of their commitment to help raising funds for the Poppy Appeal. Speakers included Catherine Davis (Head of Remembrance, Royal British Legion), Lynn Cooper (High Sherriff of Greater London), Jane Ayers (Community Fundraising Manager, Royal British Legion, London), Zahir Jatoi (Chairman of Charity Walk for Peace), Trish Fivey (Mayor of Sutton) and Dr. Ch. Ijaz ur Rahman (President Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association).
