Jack Miller, head of fundraising at Railway Children, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to work in partnership with Watford CSE Trust and AMYA on this event.

“It shows the impact that we can make when we work together. The money raised from today’s event will support some of the most vulnerable children in the UK and India.

“Their lives have been made even more difficult during the Covid-19 pandemic and this event will make a lasting impact.”

The event was open to everyone, with specific time slots for different age groups, disability groups and both women’s and men’s teams.

The match was a massive success, hitting the fundraising target which was raised by thirty different teams playing over 24 hours.

The Regional Youth Leader of the Hertfordshire chapter of AMYA UK, Saeed Nazir said: “Young Ahmadi Muslims alongside other members of the local community took time out of their weekend to try and make a difference to the lives of the many children that have been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
